Have you always wanted to know how to juggle? Well here's your dream come true!

Below are the 6 easy steps to 3-ball juggling. If you master these steps one-at-a-time you will be juggling before you know it. The pattern you will be learning is the most famous of the 3-ball patterns - it's called The Cascade. And although it looks very impressive, is actually very simple to learn. (And don't worry if you don't have any juggling balls - tennis balls or anything light and round will do.) Just read on . . . .

The Cascade

Start with one ball.

Throw it from hand to hand in an arch shape, so that the ball peaks roughly at eye-level. Spend time on this, and make sure that your throws from both hands are of equal height and strength.

Only when this throw becomes second nature should you move on to Step 3.

Now pick up a second ball.

Hold one ball in each hand, and just like Steps 1 and 2, throw Ball 1 up in an arch shape. This time, as Ball 1 reaches the top of the arch, throw Ball 2 underneath it. The two balls should cross in the air and change hands.

Repeat this stage over and over again. First starting to throw with one hand and then starting with the other. When you can do this easily, you can move onto Step 5.

Keep hold of Balls 1 and 2, and put Ball 3 in your 'strong hand' (the hand which you feel most comfortable throwing with). So now you have two balls in your strong hand and one in your weak hand.

Start as you did with two balls, throwing Ball 1 (from your strong hand) up in an arch. As it reaches the top of the arch throw Ball 2 underneath, as you did before. Now as Ball 2 reaches the top, throw Ball 3 underneath it. Practise this lots of times, and try to get an even rhythm going, 1..2..3..1..2..3..

And as if by magic, you're juggling! Well done!

And Now you can juggle, perhaps you'd like to learn some tricks?

Be warned - they are not easy!
